The BDAT Pre-launch as reported by the Basildon Echo

Basildon District Art Trail: Basildon was designated as a new town after the WW2. New towns were required to accommodate the population overspill from London. Although the district is rich with creative individuals, it does suffer from a media perception of a negative cultureless wasteland, the fact that Basildon has no gallery or museum only helps to maintain this myth. The truth is far different. 2010 sees the launch of the 1st Basildon District Art Trail.
